Maritime transport is essentially a trade enabler and therefore has strategic economic importance. This phenomenon will facilitate a good and efficient supply chain in order to create effective value chain which is much needed in today’s pricing strategy.

The programme will expose the students to the newest updates on the complex environment in this field and gives a broad overview of the business challenges on maritime economics, freight, cost, safety and security, and on international policy on shipping and port businesses. The opportunities obtained by the students will include knowledge and deeper understanding of regional integration, international cooperation, and growing diversification of sources of supply, sources of market and the complexities of international trade.

This programme introduces maritime transportation by focusing on the business aspect of maritime trade where the primary discussions are focused on the management of commercial maritime fleet. Maritime transportation management is treated as an end-to-end process, starting from the source of cargo to the end destination.
