Why This Course?
MBA in Maritime Logistics is designed to provide a comprehensive framework in analysing the essential concepts in maritime logistics. Subjects in this programme used approaches that are problem-based and collaborative rather than didactic. It involves a multi-spectrum of disciplinary functions with multi-levels of thinking and response analysis. This programme supports the involvement of a successful maritime implementations and benchmarking in order to bridge theoretical aspects with ‘real-life’ experiences in the maritime logistics environment.
Subjects taught would benefit the students in terms of exposing them to research, leadership and expertise in the maritime logistics field while producing competent maritime logistics professionals especially shore-based commercial managers in ship broking and chartering, ship management, maritime law and insurance, freight forwarding, agency and supply chain sectors.

What will you study in MBA Maritime Logistics?
The design and content of this programme provides an integrated balance of management theories with underlying practical application in the maritime logistics sector. This MBA programme is the result of exhaustive research and has been developed in consultation with maritime and logistics industry leaders, shipping executives, and esteemed academicians with industry exposure and experience.
Methodology
Each subject uses a variety of learning tools, such as case study, course work discussions, class participations, individual and group projects, and lecturers’ industrial experience which offer a perfect synergy between theory and application. The final Master’s Project Paper will allow the student to analyse current issues affecting the industry, using real world data and presenting a realistic action plan. This Project Paper is not only integral to the achievement of the programme outcomes but will also prove its valuability to the industry.

Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre requisite courses; OR
- Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
- Competency Requirement (International Student): Achieve a minimum Band 4 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2).
